This handcar was built during the winter of 2005-2006 by a couple of volunteers at the Museum. It was built similar to other handcars used on the WW&F while it was operating. This type of handcar would have been used by section crews to bring their tools and themselves out to areas on the line that needed attention. It is operated by one or two people on either side of the handlebars, alternating sides pushing down on the handlebars to turn a gear which turns the wheels. It also has a brake.

An identical handcar was built a few years later by the same volunteers. Both cars are used on occasion to give families a fun ride.

Kids and adults alike have a great time on the handcar.
